Artist: Cat Rabbit
Title: Computer Cat at work in her Hobart study (circa 1985)
Medium: Soft sculpture: wool felt, needle felt, new and vintage fabric, cardboard, cotton, armature wire, polyester stuffing

** From the artist: "Computer Cat (CC) was an iconic puppet character, created by Terrapin Puppet theatre, from the ABC kids show 'Hunter', filmed in and around Hobart in 1984-85. CC was a learned character, providing all the answers (and sass) to her companion Hunter, with the help of her trusted computer. She was basically an early form of google, in cat form. The television show  'Hunter', specifically CC, had a formative influence on my interest in cats, puppets and a quest for knowledge and understanding - all filmed and created in my home state. To this day, CC is displayed at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery; a true Tasmanian icon. This diorama of Computer Cat at work is an ode to the ABC, Terrapin Puppet Theatre, and animals that show us the way. "
